New Year Resolutions

A Letter to Myself

It isn't about changing, it's about living. No matter how much you want to change to be a better version of yourself, if that's not the way you want to live then what's the purpose? You know what's the most important part about a new beginning? You can start over, forget the past, look forward for the opportunities that are about to come your way, use them, and don't take advantage of them the way you did in the past years.

It's okay to make mistakes, don't call yourself a failure because mistakes are the best things that can happen to your life. You learn from them, you experienced them, and now you know what to do when the same problems come around.

And please, be grateful for every single thing you have in your life right now, like those fluffy socks you get to wear before you go to sleep, and that small but cute room you get to live in. The simplest things count. Some people might not even have a pair of socks or a room, just don't take anything for granted. You are blessed and you should be thankful.

It's okay to be moody, but it's NOT okay to be moody every single day. Negative aura is never good for your life. It's such an awful way to start your day. You're supposed to be excited and determined every time you wake up in the morning. Change the world. Be creative. Use your talents. I don't believe you don't have any talent because without you even realizing it, everyone is talented. You just have to get to know yourself more!

Be yourself :)
Don't try to please this society because it is insatiable. You can never fulfill its criteria of perfection. But guess what? No one is perfect, your imperfections are the things that make you unique! Stop worrying about what others think because they don't know what you actually go through, they don't understand your pain, your hard work, your struggle, your life. They are nobody. And you, you need to think about yourself more than you think about what others think of you!

Put a lot of efforts into everything you do. Some people are smart because they are smart, some are considered smart because they are diligent and hard working. However, it's better to be smart and hard working at the same time, right? Imagine the outcome you'll get. You will be unstoppable. So, don't belittle every assignments or work you need to do, no matter how small they are. Do your best!

But overall, the past is the past, you should focus on what's about to come <3

PS: For those of you who don't know, I just made a YouTube channel a month of months ago. It'd mean the world if you would wanna check them out and give me some feedbacks :) My channel is here, thank you guys so much <3

LOVE,

    1. I am having a hard time too trying to be myself all the time without thinking about the society.. However, we need to start and get used to it, or else we'll just live trying to satisfy other people but ourselves

  3. This was such a gorgeous post! I feel like I really did the minimum for mine (it's just a list). Being yourself is something I think everyone should work on more (including myself) and I will add it to my lazy list. :) x

  7. 'It's okay to be moody, but it's not okay to be moody everyday.' YES. I've had to come to terms with this myself, and I think I've finally got there. It's okay to give in to those bad feelings every now and them, but don't let them consume you. Be sad, be angry, be upset for a while, but then make a decision to move past it.

This is a beautiful letter Chrisylla, I know 2015 is going to be great to you :)

  11. Lovely post! You should definitely always be yourself, after all nobody else can do that better than you! As cheesy as it is, we do only live once and so you may as well live your life being the happiest that you can be :) x
