How do you make the most of your summer?
Travel The World
I personally love to travel, see new things, try different food, explore other cultures. I don't care if I'm only visiting other cities, as long as I get out of town, I am satisfied. Usually, I save up during my school year so when summer comes, I get to spend my savings by exploring new cities or countries. Not a lot of people would want to spend their savings for this. Some teenagers would rather work a part-time job on their summer vacation. However, I think of it differently, I am going to work for the rest of my life after I finish my bachelor or master degree. So, when I get the opportunity to travel, I will not let it go to waste.

I don't always have the money to travel around the countries, and I don't want to keep asking my parents for money like a spoiled, little girl. When I was in Philadelphia, US, I worked in a grocery shop every weekends so my parents don't have to give me allowance. They didn't want me to work at first because they thought that if I work, I would ditch my school works and assignments. In reality, I know what to prioritized and school always comes first. I got a pretty good amount of money every weekend so I saved them up for my personal needs and to travel with my friends. I went to New York, Niagara Falls, Washington DC, Virginia, New Jersey, and Delaware. I know it's only within the country, but I have already seen a lot of differences in each city. Even though, Philadelphia and New York is only two hours drive, but the environment, accents, behavior, and expenses level are so distinctive.
Learn New Languages
Studying and getting to know other languages isn't just fun to do, it is also an investment for your future. There are a lot of companies who need people who can speak a couple of different languages to be a translator, and they will pay you a big amount of money. To be honest, it's not even just about the money and careers, it's also about new experiences and being productive in your free time.

Unfortunately, it can be a little frustrating sometimes when you try to learn the grammar or the accent of each language. Others will make fun of you, but don't let it get to you. Just like what people always say, "Practice makes better." When I first came to the United States, my English was horrible. My classmates used to make fun of my Indonesian accent when I talked in front of class. I realized that even until now, I still need to practice and improve my English, especially the grammar. That's why I often read other people's blogs to find new vocabularies and learn from my mistakes. After three years in America and finished my high school education, I decided to go to China to get my Bachelor's Degree while learning Chinese language. I have to say that Chinese is way harder than English because they have different tone for every word. I have been there for approximately five months and I am still not good at it. However, I won't just give up and stop learning because I really want to be able to speak at least three different languages.
Good Luck!

I have always wanted to learn French, but I know I gotta be patient and learn each language one by one. We can't really master everything in a little time. And yess, I enjoyed this summer because I got a chance to travel to Bali with my friends. I hope you are having an amazing summer with your loved ones also :)
